In the eyes of the expert – Magdalena Jaworek – Badminton is a pretty easy, straight forward and fun sports discipline. - You are defending the European title from 2008, and that makes You the favourites. What’s Your opinion on this?
- We are aware of the big expectations that people have for our team. We feel no pressure because of this, we just try to play our best.
- Do You feel, your team is well prepared for the championships?
- Yes, We feel We are strong and We can achieve much here.
- Which teams are You most afraid of?
- The Germans and the Russians look very good. On this sort of tournament You cannot talk about the lower level of any team. Every team is capable of causing an upset and beating potential favourites.
- What do You think about the organization of this championship?
- I cannot say a bad word about these championships. Everything is right in place. It’s the third time I’m playing in Poland. So far, my every visit is a very fun memory and I hope that it won’t change this time around.

As of today, the bronze medalist of the last polish doubles championships – Magdalena Jaworek (AZS UWM Olsztyn) is the official press office expert.
- This is the first tournament for me not as a player but on the other side sort of. Of course I’d like to take play in these championships, I have to admit I am happy with this situation. The life of athletes goes on in a different dimension. None of us is ever really prepared for interviews, to answer journalist questions. I hope, that this will be an interesting experience for me, which will help me in the future, when I’ll be playing in competitive tournament as a player.
We, on the other hand, are sure that Magda’s presence will enable the fans to better understand the game. Magda’s preview of the Poland – Lithuania game also found on our Facebook site:
- Today Poland faces Lithuania. Our team knows the opponents very well but as do they. The coach has chosen his team and team order wisely. With luck on our side, this might as well finish 5:0 for Poland. After yesterdays performance of Przemysław Wacha, his win in today’s game is no so certain though. His opponent is Kestutis Navickas. He is a quick player, with good court-vision, and most importantly, his experience matches the Poles’. Everything depends on Przemek’s performance.
