The coach of the Danish team, Claus Poulsen was kind enough to anwser a fwe questions, here are his thoughts.

- So far You managed to win all your matches, many points to You as tournament favourites. How does the team respond to voices like this?

- We do our thing, play the best we can. Such predictions do not put pressure on us, on the contrary, it encourages us to strive for better performances.

- Is there Any team You are particularly afraid of?

- (laughing) No, we’re not afraid of anyone. We respect our rivals. Every team is well prepared and you cannot possibly exclude the possibility that someone will prevent us from fighting for the medals. The most interesting matches will be those with Russia, Germany and England. Those team are very strong and it will be tough to beat them.

- The 2010 Eurobadminton Has led everyone to reflect on the situation In the sport. In many countries, it’s still a niche discipline. How is it in Denmark?

- Well, In Denmark it is a completely different story. As far as the quality and the popularity as well the sport is on a very high level. The Badminton federation is thriving, and we can always count on the support from the state. Badminton is pretty much everywhere.

- The Poles are a tough opponent, we’re fully aware of this. So now we’re trying to get some rest and later in the evening we’ll give it our best. Every team has great players, but the best ones will win. – Chris Landgridge claimed with a smile.

The English are very good guests, they like the country and they praise the organization of the event.

- It’s the second time that I’m visiting Poland, and every time I come here I feel great, the reception here is very warm-hearted. – admits Langridge

Our Interlocutor shared some thoughts on the situation of badminton in his country. He admitted that although among the sports in his country Badminton is way behind football. He hopes that soon, thanks to tournaments like the 2010 EuroBadminton the popularity of the sport will rise.

What’s going on – overheard In the Dutch camp. The Ladies have won All the matches so far. Today’s game with Belarus also proved to be victorious – 4:1. Now they await the next rivals – Belgium but as they admit themselves – they are high on spirits.

Thamar Peters in a short interview with the press room staff told us they feel very strong, in fact a little bit surprised with their own form. They are aware, that winning in the tournament will be a tough task to accomplish – the rivals are of the highest standard. Their realistic goal is to reach to semifinals, and we wish them good luck for that!
